IcyZip

Live text, link and code handoff between two online browser views, with optional one-file transfer and no account.

Selected sources read 11 October 2026. This listing has no quality rank or recommendation.

Documented task

Pair two open browser views by a short link or QR code, then share live text, links and code. The provider documents one selected file at a time up to 25 MiB. Both browsers need an internet connection.

Access requirements

No account, installed app or email address is required for the browser workflow.

Official access source, read 11 October 2026. This is a dated offer observation, not a lifetime price guarantee.

Practical limits

This is a live two-browser handoff, rather than cloud storage, offline pickup, folder sync or direct peer-to-peer transfer. A new v4 short link is a routing identifier, not an encryption key. Share it only with the intended participant because another visitor can request the peer slot.

Data handling

The provider documents browser-side encryption and relay visibility into connection data and file-offer metadata. Compare the complete displayed connection codes through a trusted channel: the provider states that v4 does not detect active relay substitution before that check. Delivered-code authenticity remains an assumption. This review is not an independent security audit.

What the small browser check showed

Two isolated desktop Chromium browser contexts paired without an account. Their full displayed connection codes matched, and synthetic text moved between them. The trial had an initial immediate reverse-replacement timeout; a later paced-typing attempt synchronized in both directions. File delivery was not tested: the automation attempted a hidden toggle while the desktop file panel was already displayed. This is a test-path limitation, not evidence of transfer failure.

What remains unverified

File transfer, the 25 MiB boundary, QR scanning, phone hardware, interruption recovery, encryption implementation and reliability were not independently verified.

Sources and review scope

Review scope: Selected official product, access and data-handling sources plus the limited synthetic browser observation stated above. No full workflow or security audit, new score or comparative recommendation is established.
