This is the second meaningful Atlassian price step in five months. Cloud went up 5 to 10% on 15 October 2025; Data Center steps up 15% (or up to 40% on legacy) on 17 February 2026. Atlassian frames it as funding investment in AI features and cross-product integrations.
The ground-truth read for founders is simpler: Atlassian's installed base is captive, and the company has decided to monetise that captivity twice in two consecutive renewal cycles. For solo and bootstrapped teams using Jira or Confluence, this is the moment to model the migration cost honestly. Linear has been the consistent migration target for issue tracking; Notion or Slite for wiki and docs. The migration weekend is real work but the recurring savings start at 100% of the increase.
Legacy 'Advantaged' customers are the hardest hit (18 to 40% lift) because the discount is being unwound, not because the underlying product changed. If you're on Advantaged, request a quote for the new pricing now rather than at renewal.
If you're on Atlassian Data Center, request a renewal quote this month and start a Linear migration plan in parallel. If you're on Cloud, run the same exercise after the October 2025 hike has fully landed in your bill.
