How we would evaluate it
Notion works best when the team agrees which pages and databases are authoritative. Without that agreement, flexibility produces several plausible copies of the same truth. Use it for briefs, linked knowledge and lightweight workflow tracking, but design the information model before importing everything. A small team should test member and guest access, export a representative workspace and decide where a dedicated issue tracker remains necessary. The reason to pay is a repeatable shared workflow or a required permission feature, not simply the number of blocks you can assemble.

Plan limits that change a workspace trial
The plan matrix distinguishes individual and multi-member Free use. Free files are limited to 5 MB; page history is seven days on Free, 30 days on Plus and 90 days on Business. Free and Plus list trial AI access; Business lists Notion Agent and granular database permissions. These are documented entitlements, not measured reliability.
Workspace export is documented in HTML, Markdown and CSV. A plan feature does not show how your particular relations, attachments and permissions will survive migration.
