GitHub’s 6 November announcement makes @GitHub in Slack and Teams generally available. The integration can investigate bugs, create issues, implement changes and open pull requests from conversations. Canvas in Teams supports discussing plans, changes and previews alongside the conversation.

The update also changes repository identification and attribution for created issues and pull requests. It does not establish free or unlimited Copilot usage. The official announcement provides setup routes. Copilot’s profile retains its separate price dates.

Dated source receipts and limitations.
