A project can span repositories
GitHub’s 28 October update introduces Copilot Projects in public preview. Projects group goals, context, sessions and results over time. They can involve several repositories or tasks without a repository. A single-repository session remains available for narrower work.
Follow progress and review the result
The Projects documentation describes an overview for work needing input, open pull requests, active work and completed tasks. Users can add supporting material, steer sessions and review artifacts. GitHub also describes connected-tool context and image creation in the app. These are documented features, not workflows Fewertools executed.
Computer use is a separate permission boundary
The app’s computer-use preview is available for local sessions on macOS and Windows. Its Tool Permissions setting determines approval prompts; saved application approvals can affect later sessions. macOS also needs Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions. An organisation can disable the feature through managed settings.
Access is not a usage allowance
The documentation says the app is available across Copilot plans. That does not establish unlimited usage or a new included credit allowance. The existing Enterprise access report explains the separate billing boundary. Check the relevant plan and permissions before assigning work that can modify a repository or desktop application.
