Our evaluation
Trello works best when a team can describe its process as a small number of visible stages and keep the cards current. That is an accessible way to coordinate requests, but a board does not create an owner, a priority rule or a limit on work in progress by itself. Establish those conventions before adding elaborate automation. Standard is worth considering when structured fields and checklists are required; Premium should follow a real need for alternate views rather than a general desire to be more organized. The free collaborator and board limits matter as a workspace grows, and multi-board guests can become billable members. For complex cross-project dependencies, test whether the board model remains understandable instead of assuming more cards will solve the coordination problem.
