Our evaluation

Sentry belongs in an application stack when the team needs enough context to reproduce and prioritize a production failure. Connecting an error to a release, trace or replay can be more actionable than a raw log line, but the value depends on instrumenting the right paths and having someone own the alert. Collecting every event without sampling or filtering can produce both noise and an avoidable bill. The free tier is a reasonable single-developer evaluation, while paid plans add collaboration without a per-seat base price. Keep the AI debugging add-on separate in the estimate. A useful pilot is a controlled failure that becomes a readable issue, reaches the correct owner and can be confirmed resolved after a release.
