What changed?
Resend announced Inboxes on 22 October. Messages sent to an address on your domain are collected into conversations that your team and your connected agents can work on. The announcement describes assigning conversations, adding internal notes and replying through the API.
This adds a conversation layer to Resend’s sending and receiving infrastructure.
Three inboxes does not mean three email allowances
The self-serve Free, Pro and Scale tables each include three inboxes. Free cannot add more; paid plans can enable additional inboxes. Inbox messages consume the transactional allowance in both directions.
The current Free transactional allowance is 3,000 emails per month, with a 100-per-day sending cap. Marketing contacts are a different billing unit. The official pricing document quotes extra inboxes at $1 per inbox per month on paid plans; this check did not establish the currency code. Enterprise limits depend on the contract.
Before connecting an agent
Record how many addresses you need, expected incoming and outgoing message counts, and who is allowed to send replies. Treat these as separate requirements. An included inbox is not evidence that a connected agent’s model usage is included or that its replies have been tested for accuracy.
Our email-tool guide now distinguishes conversations, transactional messages and marketing contacts. The Resend profile retains earlier, separately dated pricing observations.
