ChatGPT Slides: Space access and export limits

The new presentation workflow depends on Space access. Exports and Windows local editing have specific limits.

Review scope: OpenAI’s 16 October release note and Slides support article read on 17 October. No account eligibility, deck creation, collaboration or exported file was tested.

Who gets Slides?

OpenAI’s 16 October announcement starts a rollout to eligible Pro, Business and Enterprise users with Space access on web and desktop. An eligible plan does not mean every account has the feature immediately.

Sharing and exports

The Slides support article describes simultaneous editing and shared comments. Comment-only access is unavailable at launch. Web exports include PowerPoint, PDF and Google Slides; exported content and formatting still need review.

Windows has a local-editing boundary

Without the required MXC component, local AI slide creation and editing use PowerPoint files instead of collaborative Slides. Windows 10 does not support that component; Windows 11 may need an update or administrator enablement. OpenAI documents web or cloud mode as an alternative for collaborative Slides.

Keep the brief and the evidence separate

You can prepare an audience, purpose and outline in the Fewertools planner. That brief is not evidence that a particular ChatGPT account can create or export a deck. The ChatGPT profile retains its earlier pricing snapshot and evaluation; this update only records documented access and file boundaries.

Source scope

Official documentation read 17 October 2026. Dated claim receipts. This source note records availability and feature boundaries; prices, comparative quality and live workflow results were not verified.
