CFHEAVY IS THE HEAD / TILT COLLECTION 005Portfolio

01 / 04   The crown was never light

Heavy isthe head.Mine came oversized.

People called it big.

Life gave it things to carry. I gave it a character.

The Crown Was Never LightArtwork 01 / 04

Where it started

The joke became the character.

People have called me big-headed for years. TILT is what happened when I stopped treating it like an insult and made it visible.

The size is funny. The weight is not. Ambition, responsibility, other people's opinions and a mind that will not clock out all need somewhere to sit.

The collection

One head. Four different weights.

Everybody had a comment.

Every joke, opinion and pointing finger adds another inch. TILT keeps moving.

I put the extra room to work.

The head becomes a studio. The thing people noticed first becomes the place the work comes from.

My head has its own Lagos.

Women, bills, family, ideas, distractions and negative thoughts all want the same lane.

What TILT means

The head is still big. That was never the problem.

HEAVY IS THE HEAD is not about fixing TILT. It is about what he carries, what people project onto him and what he makes with the space.
